Oppo A5S is amid range phone that has a 6.2-inch display and comes with a waterdrop notch at the front. The display has HD+ resolution and provides decent viewing angles. The device runs on a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC which offers decent performance.
The software that is installed in the device is Color OS 5.2 which sits on Android 8.1 Oreo and has some tiny amounts of bloatware. The battery capacity is 4230mAh while the dimensions are 15.59×7.54×0.82 cm. It weighs 170 g and was launched in Red, Black, Gold, and Green.
The camera set up consists of a 13MP main sensor,2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP front camera. The connectivity features that come along with it include Wi-Fi, GSM, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS.
DESIGN
Oppo A5 is lightweight and comes with a plastic body. It measures 15.59×7.54×0.82 cm and has a weight of 170grams. The waterdrop notch that sits on the big 6.2-inch display will easily grab one’s attention. There are thin bezels at the sides while the bottom chin is actively thicker. The earpiece has been positioned above the waterdrop notch and is moved towards the frame to maximize the space that is set for the display.
The black panel of the device has been made from glossy plastic and is a fingerprint magnet. However, this is solvable with the case that comes with the phone. The device comes in two colors: Red and Black and has a rounded frame which makes it comfortable to hold.
The power button sits at the right side of the device while the volume buttons are set at the left and are easily within reach. All of the buttons have good feedback and will ensure that you are not second-guessing on anything.
The bottom of the device has a loudspeaker grille, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro –USB port. The top of the device is bare while the SIM tray sits at the left and can accept dual Nano-SIM slots as well as a dedicated micro SD slot.

The selfies taken with the 8MP camera have sufficient detail and manages to set exposures well. Video recording is at 1080p for both the front and selfie camera.
BATTERY
The biggest advantage of the Oppo A5s is the 4230mAh battery which will also be spotted on the A7. The battery is sufficient for a full day of usage with ease and without having the inconvenience of moving around with a power bank or always seeking for a power plug.
The excellent battery life can be linked to the HD resolution and low consuming chipset that come with it. The battery can also support heavy usage including browsing, watching videos, and gaming without being drained. It comes with a 10W charger that fills up the device in 2 hours.
SOFTWARE AND PERFORMANCE
When it comes to software, Oppo a5 runs Color0S5.2 that sits on top of Android 8.1Oreo, and is a dated version of Android. Some bloatware comes in addition to the usual Google Apps. Other pre-installed apps are Facebook, Music Party, and Opera. The apps can however be uninstalled to create space.
The UI’s appearance can be changed through downloading themes. Some gestures allow you to draw alphabets on the screen as the phone is on standby.
The processor is MTK MT6765and offers decent performance. It is capable of multitasking without having any issues. The processor has a GPU: IMG GE8320 that controls the graphics of the entire phone. The device can handle high graphics games such as PUBG Mobile. Game space has also been enabled to clear RAM through each time that the game is launched. There are no occasional lags and a slow percentage gets drained.
STORAGE AND AUTHENTICATION
The storage space which comes with Oppo A5S is 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The authentication features that are featured on the device are a Fingerprint scanner and Face recognition feature. The fingerprint scanner is found at the back of the device and is easy to unlock and reach. There is also a face recognition feature that works with the selfie camera to work instantly.
