SAMSUNG HW-Q70R
Samsung HW-Q70R has to be on top of your shopping list if you are looking forward to bringing a rich, detailed, and immersive sound into your living room. It can squeeze three forward-firing and two upward-firing drivers into a slimline chassis as it replaces Samsung HW-N650. The total power output is 330W while the number of channels is 3.1.2 CH. There are 7 total speakers, a wireless subwoofer, an up-firing speaker, and a center speaker. It offers excellent faux-surround effects while the wireless subwoofer brings along a punching bass. Movies and gaming will be a haven thanks to the support of Dolby Atmos and DTS:X soundtracks while the Soundbar refines the Acoustic Beaming technology. The bar has a satisfactory performance and has been designed to be used in conjunction with Samsung Q70R LED TV.
DESIGN
The Samsung HW-Q70R makes a perfect duo for the Samsung Q70TV but can still fit in within most home setups. The Soundbar is a slight reflection of Samsung HW-K950 but makes its design to be more angular and automotive while retaining the Led display.
The bar can also be likened to the HW-Q60R and comes with a metal grille that can cover the front and top face while the back and sides have been made of good quality plastic. The subwoofer is mainly made of wood and has a port on the back. The right side has a fabric that can cover the speaker.
The end panel at the right has basic controls for power, volume, and source whereas other functions can be accessed through the remote control. The subwoofer has received a makeover but has the same styling as the Soundbar. It measures 20.5×40.3×40.3 cm and weighs 9.8 kg. its model is rear-ported and has a side-firing 8-inch driver that can get down to 35Hz. The subwoofer is wireless and pairs automatically with the bar. The system comes with a wireless subwoofer that includes tuning by Samsung Harman Kardon.
